We are a newly formed family run business, exciting and fresh with new ideas. Our passion for Shepherds Huts started many years ago building timber lodges by lakes, tennis courts and on land owners estates. This progressed to building shepherd Huts and here we are now, building them for the wider public & businesses. Our aim is NOT to mass produce these but to offer a one stop place for luxurious, beautiful Shepherds huts in Kent, Sussex and the surrounding areas. At Hawkins Huts, we believe that changing with the times is vital and that includes looking after our environment for us, nature & our future children. So we are pleased to say that Eco friendly shepherds huts & pods are available from Hawkins Huts.
As standard and where possible we use quality re-claimed materials. All of our huts are fully insulated, in the floor, walls and roof with celotex and 100 mm thick Lava wool in-between 2 layers of damp proof membrane. Double-glazed windows are used, including weather seals. So, toastie warm in the winter and cool as cucumber in the summer!
We are delighted to offer off grid Solar options plus eco loos etc. Where possible we use sustainable Locally sourced materials & suppliers, doing our very best to cut carbon footprint.
